The model 100A MLS asRamp Test Set is a portable flight line instrument, that provides go/no-go verification of installed microwave landing system receivers. This check is easily performed by transmitting a signal on MLS channel 500, which exercises the azimuth, back azimuth, elevation, left and right clearance pulses and data word receiving functions of the MLS receiver.

The unit is compact and rugged and complies with MIL-T-28800 Type II, Class 2, Style A requirements. Through a single control, the operator selects predefined angle configurations, which generate fixed or variable glide slope and localizer deviations on the aircraft.

The unit is extremely small and simple to operate, and is designed for up to 3 hours of continuous operation on internal rechargeable batteries.
