on the International Space Station A BREAKTHROUGH IN PASSENGER HEALTH FOR CORPORATE AIRCRAFT The JetAir™ Bio-Protection System (BPS) is designed to provide higher levels of protection for passengers and crew from a wider range of unhealthy cabin air contaminants, both biological and chemical. It is based on Plasmer™ "cold plasma ionic interaction" technology pioneered in space and currently used on the International Space Station and in numerous international hospitals. Now adapted to civil aircraft for the first time, it answers a rapidly growing sensitivity of the traveling public to airplane air quality issues. ARCHITECTURE Multi-stage de-contamination based on Plasmer™ cold plasma ionic interaction technology. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION Microorganisms, viruses and other small contaminants are electrically charged so as to be attracted to the surfaces of porous dielectric materials where living and parasitic matter (viruses) are subject to lethal effects including: - rupture of the cell membrane or protective casing through local oxidation, and - damage to molecular structure including the DNA/RNA. CONFIGURATION The Bio-Protection Unit (BPU) is available in several physical configurations. Two (cabin left and right) or more units are generally required depending on the size and configuration of the target aircraft. BIOLOGICAL REDUCTION EFFICIENCY 99.99% minimum destruction at rated airflow per unit. Efficiency increases with lower airflow. NANO CAPTURE Better than 99.999% removal efficiency for 0.001µm to 0.01µm sized disintegration by-products including endotoxins.
